Jepson Holt’s Matt Draper to speak at Nottingham Law School

27 Oct 2014

After a successful presentation at Newcastle University Law School, Jepson Holt Managing Director, Matt Draper, will be addressing a second gathering of students, this time at Nottingham Law School, on Wednesday 19th November.

The event, for students of the school, is part of an employer conference and Matt will once again be speaking to students about their options within and outside of working directly for the legal industry.

MattDrawing on his own experience, Matt will discuss opportunities open to legal graduates who, for a variety of reasons, do not pursue careers as solicitors, or in other job roles within the sector. The holder of a law degree, Matt will discuss his own experience with students, as well as give an insight into the recruitment sector, the state of the legal market and general job prospects for law graduates.

Although Jepson Holt work primarily with solicitors at partner level and above, we have long had a commitment to, and connection with, new entrants to the profession. The event will see us debut two new white papers entitled, ‘Employing trainee lawyers: a guide for law firms’ and ‘Life after law school: a guide for law graduates’, the second of which will be available for attendees at Nottingham.

The papers seek to encourage a forward-thinking approach for graduates in search of their law career and, in turn, to encourage buy-in and engagement from firms who choose to employ graduates. The papers will be available online nearer to the 19th November.
